Exercise ideas you might not have tried yet

Posted on 20th September 2022

I know what it’s like gorgeous, sometimes your exercise regime can get a bit samey and you just don’t enjoy it anymore. Or you know you want to exercise but you just don’t know where to start and the thought of the gym makes you want to curl up in a ball and stay firmly on your sofa!

There is nothing worse than doing exercise you don’t like or dragging yourself through a pain stacking workout because you feel you have to. Exercise should be something we do because it feeds us – it gives us joy, energy and makes us feel good! It should never be something we dread or simply can’t stand.

That’s why today I’m giving you 10 brand new exercise ideas that you might not of thought of! Hopefully these will motivate and inspire you to get your body moving in a way you love, because the most important thing when it comes to exercise is enjoyment!

Adult dance classes

There are loads of classes offering everything from tap to ballroom to adult hip hop, just google it!

Hot yoga

If you’ve done yoga before why not switch it up and try hot yoga!

Hula Hooping

You might find some local classes on offer but if not you can get a hoop from a kids toy shop for cheap, put on your fave tunes and whirl around your living room!

Netball

There are loads of return to netball classes out there, take some mates along too!

Hiking

Take a drive with some friends and hike up a local hill or through your nearest country park.

Pole dancing

Pole dancing is loads of fun and not at all sleazy! It’s a great way to get some exercise and boost your confidence!

Indoor rock climbing

Something totally different and adventurous! You’ll be exercising without even realising it!

Roller booting/blading

My friend Genni and I did this a few summers ago and it was so much fun! We wobbled our way round the block a few times and once we become more confident we even skated down to our local coffee shop for an iced latte!

Boxing

Boxing is so liberating and empowering, not to mention stress relieving! A lot of places offer women only classes too.

Horse riding

Did you know that horse riding is as good for you as yoga?! It strengthens your lower body and really works on your balance and control. Plus, you get to ride a horse around and pretend you’re Daenerys Targaryen – what’s not to love!

Leave a comment and let me know how you get on gorgeous, and don’t forget to download my guide with 5 simple steps on how to break the diet cycle, it’s free!
